Flooding at the School of Medicine in Scaife Hall on Thursday.

A frozen pipeline near Scaife Hall caused a burst pipe on the fourth floor of the building at approximately 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. There was flooding and minimal damage.

A University spokesperson said an alarm sounded and the building was safely evacuated. Responders arrived and assessed the situation, and students were able to reenter the building once the all-clear was given. Scaife Hall will be fully operational by Friday.
