“Getting back to normal will present its own set of problems. Most obviously, there will be classes and exams to make up. There will be events and activities to reschedule,” he said.

Nordenberg did not say how students and professors would make up for the time they lost from snow storms that occurred this weekend and today.

He asked students and staff to “continue to exercise good judgment and make safety a personal priority.” He also thanked the personnel who have worked the past few days to help clean campus and provide dining services, among other jobs.

Pitt spokesman John Fedele said he did not know whether the University shuttles will run tomorrow.
