No. 10 Panthers overcome early deficit, fight to 3-3 draw against No. 14 Akron

No. 10 Pitt Men's Soccer took on No.14 Akron Monday night at Ambrose Urbanic Field. The Panthers were down 2-0 early, but clawed back to force a 3-3 draw thanks to two late first half goals.

Fresh off of a competitive loss to the No. 2 team in the nation, Pitt lacrosse was eager to land something other than a moral victory. They did just that against Akron on Monday, winning 18-6 amid frigid early spring temperatures.

Following a convincing home victory on Friday night, No. 3 Pitt men’s soccer suffered its second loss of the season on Monday night. The Panthers fell on the road, 2-1, to the No. 19 Akron Zips.
For the first time in program history, Pitt men’s soccer has received the No. 1 ranking in the United Soccer Coaches poll.
