Dexter’s lone goal lifts Pitt past Zips

For the first time in program history, Pitt men’s soccer has received the No. 1 ranking in the United Soccer Coaches poll.

Despite thoroughly outplaying Akron throughout the contest, it took a 74th-minute strike off the left foot of junior forward Alexander Dexter for Pitt to finally gain the upper hand in a 1-0 victory.
