Wikipedia edit-a-thon illuminates indigenous languages

2019 has been declared the Year of Indigenous Languages by the United Nations.

Dozens of amateur and professional linguists filled the Robert Henderson Language Media Center in the Cathedral of Learning Wednesday afternoon to participate in an “Indigenous Languages Wikipedia Edit-a-thon.” At the edit-a-thon, participants learned how to edit articles on the online encyclopedia to help fill the online information gap in respect to indigenous languages.
