Oakland Business Improvement District is gearing up for the winter season with a new art-based community project, Glowland. Glowland is a month-long winter festival that features a series of light-based art installations, yard games and live music until Dec. 18.

The Oakland Planning and Development Corporation held a meeting on Mar. 21 to discuss the proposed construction of a new recreation and wellness facility, renovations for the William Pitt Union patio and renovations to the exterior of Langley Hall.

The City wouldn’t have to look hard to find new candidates for full street closures or sidewalk cafes.
