Pitt wrestling riding smooth start to 2021 season

Pitt wrestling fell agonizingly short of an ACC title in 2020 before the postseason was called due to the pandemic. But despite a key roster loss, the 2021 Panthers still have their eyes set on hardware.

The Pitt wrestling team saw two of its five wrestlers — No. 4 Micky Phillippi and No. 13 Nino Bonaccorsi — advance past the first two Thursday sessions of the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championship.

Five Pitt wrestlers to compete at NCAA Championships
