Pitt to get 2% state funding increase; House Republicans file amendment to avert fetal tissue research

As budget week bears down on Harrisburg, state House Republicans are considering cutting funding to Pitt if the University engages in fetal tissue research, according to the Pennsylvania Capital-Star.

Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf met with Chancellor Patrick Gallagher Thursday morning amid a state budget impasse that's making Pitt's state funding uncertain.
