The Office of Student Conduct is requiring SJP to complete a conduct hearing. The proposed sanctions include banning the club from hosting events through May 5, an action that may throw the future of pro-Palestinian organizing on campus into question.

During its weekly meeting on Tuesday at Nordy’s Place, the Student Government Board approved a new anti-hate committee and recognized concerns about unfair treatment against on-campus organizations.

Pitt’s Student Coalition for Israel hosted Yadin Gellman, a former Israeli Defense Force soldier and Israeli actor, at the Hillel Jewish University Center on Wednesday evening for a crowd of 50 people. Just outside the speaker event, about 200 students and community members protested Gellman’s presence in Oakland.
