Pittsburgh City Council amended and advanced Shadyside developer Walnut Capital’s Oakland Crossings plan last Wednesday, moving it to the City Planning Commission.

Community members urge City Council to hold Walnut Capital zoning proposal

After several Oakland residents submitted a petition, Pittsburgh City Council held a public hearing on Tuesday to discuss Walnut Capital’s proposal to amend the City’s zoning code. Around 25 community members spoke at the hearing, with most denouncing the proposal.

The Oakland Planning and Development Corp. held a Tuesday public meeting to discuss new UPMC signage throughout Oakland and Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh lamp post and banner installation. The group also continued discussing zoning changes proposed by Walnut Capital.
