The 45-year-old has never been a head coach in the NFL but still received a four-year contract in the neighborhood of $2 million per year.
Harbaugh spent last season as the Philadelphia Eagles’ secondary coach and will inherit a 5-11 team who recently parted ways with Brian Billick, who coached in Baltimore for nine years, leading his team to one Super Bowl victory.
