9:05 a.m. – A person reported the theft of her purse from her office… Friday, Aug. 24
9:05 a.m. – A person reported the theft of her purse from her office in the Cathedral of Learning.
12:10 p.m. – A fire alarm in the cafeteria area of Tower C was activated by a defective sprinkler head.
12:29 p.m. – Thomas Benson, homeless, was arrested on an outstanding warrant at the corner of Forbes and Oakland avenues.
12:48 p.m. – Police cited student Thomas J. Palfy, of McKees Rocks, Pa., for disorderly conduct in Tower C. 3:32 p.m. – A person in the Schenley Quad reported a possible wrist injury while moving a luggage cart. Medical assistance was not requested.
4:08 p.m. – A staff member turned in a homemade bong found in a suite in Bouquet Gardens. The item was placed in the evidence locker.
4:14 p.m. – Officers assisted Carnegie Mellon police with a bomb search.
5:55 p.m. – Officers arrested non-affiliate Douglas Wallace Clark, of 6 Whitney Terrace, on an outstanding warrant in the 3900 block of Forbes Avenue.
6:35 p.m. – Officers checked on persons lying on the sidewalk in the 200 block of Atwood Street.
11:47 p.m. – Student Charles Andre Zettel, of Chesterbrook, Pa., was cited for underage drinking in Bouquet Gardens building E.
Saturday, Aug. 25
1:35 a.m. – Officers assisted city police with a reported fight in the 200 block of Atwood Street.
2:19 a.m. – Officers assisted city police with a reported aggravated assault at the corner of Center Avenue and Dithridge Street.
2:25 a.m. – Student Sam Simmons, of Columbia, SC, was cited for underage drinking in Pennsylvania Hall.
11:12 a.m. – Officers assisted city police with the reported theft of a dentist’s sign in the 300 block of Atwood Street.
3:46 p.m. – An officer checked on a suspicious person loitering in the Book Center. The person was given trespass warnings.
Sunday, Aug. 26
12:51 a.m. – A person reported the theft of his bike from a bike rack on Bigelow Boulevard.
1:40 a.m. – Student Curtis M. Gumbert, of 2 Pine Creek Drive, and non-affiliate Benjamin G Levitt, of 1155 Fox Chapel Road, were cited for open container violations in the Schenley Quad
2:49 a.m. – Officers assisted city police with a reported fight at the corner of Forbes Avenue and Bouquet Street.
6:21 p.m. – A fire alarm in Panther Hall was activated by burned popcorn.
