2:08 p.m. — A man reported that his basketball was stolen from Trees Hall.

4:52 p.m. — A smoke detector in Detre Hall was activated by dust from cleaning activities.

5:44 p.m. — A fire alarm in Pennsylvania Hall was activated by excessive heat in the generator room.

6:33 p.m. — An officer took a report of minor auto accident in the Physicians’ parking lot.

Thursday, March 30

12:56 a.m. — Police cited student Ned P. Moore, of Stoneboro, Pa., for disorderly conduct in the 200 block of Bouquet Street.

1:30 a.m. — A fire alarm system in Biomedical Science Tower 3 was activated by ventilation equipment in the penthouse.

8:52 a.m. — Officers assisted UPMC security with reports of several harassment incidents near the intersection of O’Hara Street and Bigelow Boulevard.

9:23 a.m. — Facilities management staff reported damage done by vehicles to a University pole and banners.

10:13 a.m. — A woman reported that her bike was stolen from the Bigelow Boulevard side of the Cathedral of Learning.

2:06 p.m. — An officer took a report of a minor accident at the intersection of Craig and Bayard streets.

2:14 p.m. — Someone reported the theft of items from University department mailboxes. An investigation is pending.

3:22 p.m. — An officer received a contraband item from a resident and a Residence Life staff member. The item was placed in the evidence room. Residence Life is making a judicial board referral.

3:55 p.m. — A woman reported the theft of her purse from the Cathedral of Learning.

5:50 p.m. — A man in the William Pitt Union reported the theft of his computer. An investigation is pending.

8:17 p.m. — Non-affiliate Derrick McLaughlin, of 2417 Centre Ave., was cited at the corner of Bouquet and Sennott streets for disorderly conduct.

Friday, March 31

12:13 a.m. — A custodian in Posvar Hall reported the deliberate clogging of toilets in a men’s room.

12:32 a.m. — Police arrested student Steven T. Stack, of Lancaster, Pa., for disorderly conduct/harassment at the intersection of Atwood and Sennott streets. Police also cited student Grant J. Sweitzer, of Lancaster, Pa., for harassment at the same intersection.

12:52 a.m. — Student Joshua Pantesco, of Swanzey, N.H., was cited at the intersection of Sennott and Atwood streets for public intoxication.

9:36 a.m. — A woman in the Petersen Events Center reported the theft of her sandals.

2:22 p.m. — A woman reported the theft of her bike from Bellefield Hall.

5:04 p.m. — A University shuttle driver reported being threatened by another driver at the intersection of Centre and Melwood avenues.

8:13 p.m. — Non-affiliate Glen David Richmond, of no fixed address, was arrested at the intersection of Forbes and Oakland avenues on an outstanding county warrant for failure to appear in court.

Saturday, April 1

4:44 a.m. — Police cited non-affiliate Ryan M. Staff, of Erie, Pa., for disorderly conduct on North Bellefield Avenue.

8:54 a.m. — Officers checked on the welfare of a student in Litchfield Tower C at her parents’ request. The student was fine.

12:32 p.m. — A woman reported that money was stolen from her purse and that checks and money were taken from her office. An investigation is pending.

2:31 p.m. — Officers assisted city police with an incident at the McDonald’s in the 3700 block of Forbes Avenue.

5 p.m. — A man in Trees Hall reported the theft of his backpack. The man later called back to report that his backpack was actually just in another part of the building.

5:22 p.m. — A woman in the William Pitt Union reported the theft of her camera.

6:16 p.m. — Officers removed people from several of the roof tops on the Cathedral of Learning.

6:43 p.m. — Police checked on a person who was attempting to enter a car on Bellefield Avenue. The person had locked the keys to the car in the car.

7:56 p.m. — A juvenile was cited for carrying a facsimile of a firearm in the 4100 block of Aliquippa Street.

9:09 p.m. — A member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon reported the theft of an amplifier.

9:33 p.m. — An officer took a report of an accident involving a University shuttle at the intersection of Forbes Avenue and Bouquet Street.

10:23 p.m. — A guard in Pennsylvania Hall reported the theft of a card-reader machine. An investigation is pending.

Sunday, April 2

12:34 a.m. — Police cited non-affiliate Robert J. Shipp, of 169 Penfort St., for defiant trespass in the Graduate School of Public Health.

12:36 a.m. — Student Alison Anne Sikorsky, of Litchfield Tower B, was cited on the corner of Fifth and Oakland avenues for underage drinking.

12:59 a.m. — Officers cited students Doug Fisher and David Hungarter, both of Pennsylvania Hall, for underage drinking in Pennsylvania Hall.

3:39 a.m. — A fire alarm in Sutherland Hall was accidentally activated by a student who threw a shoe.

2:17 p.m. — A man in Trees Hall reported the theft of his sweatshirt, Pitt ID, keys and cell phone.

3:09 p.m. — Officers assisted city police with a reported assault that was in a business in the 200 block of Atwood Street.

4:47 p.m. — A guard in the Plum Research Facility reported several incidents of harassment. An investigation is pending.

7:56 p.m. — A short in a smoke detector activated a fire alarm in the Cathedral of Learning.

9:07 p.m. — A man reported that items were taken from his car, which was parked near the Phi Kappa Theta house.

Monday, April 3

12:20 a.m. — A guard in David Lawrence Hall reported finding damage to a vending machine.

2:22 a.m. — A resident in Forbes Craig apartments reported that she observed someone breaking light tubes in the hallway.
