Monday, March 20
9:31 a.m. — Two people reported the suspicious actions of… Monday, March 20
9:31 a.m. — Two people reported the suspicious actions of a man in the 3900 block of Forbes Avenue. Officers responded to the area, but could not find the man.
1:11 p.m. — A woman reported that some of her clothes were stolen from the Petersen Events Center.
4:25 p.m. — Police arrested non-affiliate Paul T. Teacher, of 1 O’Hara Place, for retail theft in Scaife Hall.
5:22 p.m. — Officers responded to a complaint about a suspicious person who was sleeping on the second floor of the Law building. Police found that the man was actually associated with the University. The incident was cleared.
9:08 p.m. — Police and personnel from the Health and Safety Department responded to a chemical spill at the Chevron Science Center. One person was slightly injured and transported to the hospital.
9:13 p.m. — A woman reported that her keys and clothing were stolen from a cubicle in the Petersen Events Center.
Tuesday, March 21
3:36 a.m. — Facilities management personnel found a syringe in Hillman Library. The syringe was turned over to the police, who placed it in the property room.
Friday, March 24
9:07 a.m. — Officers stopped five juveniles who were soliciting people for money at the Chevron Science Center. The juveniles were turned over to the City of Pittsburgh School Police.
11:42 a.m. — A woman reported that her cell phone was stolen from the Petersen Events Center. An investigation is pending.
11:57 a.m. — A woman reported that her dog was attacked by another dog on Fifth Avenue, near Litchfield Tower A.
1:34 p.m. — Someone reported a minor accident involving a University van. The incident was cleared.
1:57 p.m. — Officers worked security at an event at which Gov. Edward Rendell was present.
4 p.m. — Police are investigating the possible misuse of the University computer network.
9:18 p.m. — A fire alarm that was activated in Schenley Quadrangle was determined to be false.
10:17 p.m. — Police arrested University affiliates Anthony Vojtash, of 705 Brownsville Road, and Craig Underwood, of 8129 Conemaugh St., on warrants.
11:20 p.m. — Non-affiliate Michael E. Laukaitis, of Youngstown, Ohio, was cited for disorderly conduct. Non-affiliate William L. Laukaitis, of 345 Long Drive, was cited for public drunkenness. Both citations were given near the Law building.
11:22 p.m. — Someone in the Phi Kappa Theta house reported that people broke a window in the front door of the house. Officers found the person responsible and advised the complainant to see the magistrate.
11:51 p.m. — Police cited students Nicholas A. Andes, of 3959 Fifth Ave., Nicholas Crowasdalle, of Pennsylvania Hall, and Alexander Schmidt, of Pennsylvania Hall, for disorderly conduct in Bruce Hall.
Saturday, March 25
2:13 a.m. — Officers confiscated a nightstick from a person in the 200 block of Oakland Avenue. The item was placed in the recovered property locker.
12:30 p.m. — Complainants in Centre Plaza Apartments reported that an unknown person entered their apartment and removed items. An investigation is pending.
4:53 p.m. — Officers responded to a hazardous condition concerning an air conditioner in Lothrop Hall. Building engineers fixed the problem.
6:36 p.m. — Complainants in Bouquet Gardens reported that items were taken from their room. An investigation is pending.
Sunday, March 26
12:33 a.m. — A resident in Lothrop Hall gave the police a small amount of marijuana after a resident assistant in the building responded to a smell of marijuana complaint. The RA will file judicial board papers.
12:49 a.m. — A juvenile was arrested for underage drinking in Amos Hall.
1:13 a.m. — Police cited students Michael A. Romito, of Jeannette, Pa., and Adam Thomas Obryan, of Allison Park, Pa., for underage drinking in Lothrop Hall.
1:20 a.m. — Engineers released two people who were trapped in an elevator in Sutherland Hall.
1:32 a.m. — Student Anna Elizabeth Avolio, of Indiana, Pa., was cited in Sutherland Hall for underage drinking.
2 a.m. — Unknown individuals kicked a glass window out in the lobby of Litchfield Tower C.
2:29 a.m. — Officers cited student Christopher M. Caldwell, of Lancaster, Pa., for underage drinking in Sutherland Hall.
4:19 a.m. — Police assisted city police with a person in the 7-Eleven on Forbes Avenue who would not leave. The incident was cleared.
10:44 a.m. — Officers responded to a domestic disturbance report at Bouquet Gardens. Both people were located and the incident will be taken up with the judicial board. The incident was cleared at the scene.
1:14 p.m. — A complainant reported that his vehicle was damaged in the SC lot.
2:07 p.m. — A person reported receiving harassing phone calls in Litchfield Tower C. The incident was cleared.
2:42 p.m. — Police cited student Justin B. Pinder, of Upper Darby, Pa., and Nathan Christopher Browne, of 210 Sunridge Road, for violating a Pittsburgh ordinance.
6:37 p.m. — A person recovered a bag of marijuana in the U parking lot and gave it to the police. The incident was cleared.
Monday, March 27
8:23 p.m. — Police arrested non-affiliate Derrick McLaughlin, of 2417 Centre Ave., on a warrant near the 3700 block of Forbes Avenue.
8:40 p.m. — Officers arrested non-affiliate Eric J. Rankin, of 14 Wellsford Ave., in the William Pitt Union for showing a false ID to law enforcement.
Tuesday, March 28
7:41 p.m. — Police arrested non-affiliate Earl Perry, of 701 Summers St., for attempted theft on the Robinson Street extension.
Wednesday, March 29 12:49 a.m. — A custodian near Posvar Hall reported the deliberate clogging of toilets in the second floor men’s room. An investigation is pending.
