9:56 a.m. – A venting system in Thackeray Hall activated a fire alarm.

12:09 p.m. – Someone in Posvar Hall reported being harassed by e-mail. An investigation is pending.

12:36 p.m. – A truck struck a utility pole on O’Hara Street. The incident was cleared.

1:12 p.m. – A malfunction activated a fire alarm in Trees Hall.

2:37 p.m. – A steam leak activated a fire alarm in Posvar Hall.

2:38 p.m. – A man fell from his bike on Schenley Drive near Clemente Way. The incident was cleared.

3:41 p.m. – An officer cited and had a car towed that was parked on Darragh Street in an area that was posted no parking for the swim meet.

4:15 p.m. – A woman reported that her jacket was stolen from a restroom in Hillman Library.

5:48 p.m. – An officer took a report of an accident involving a University shuttle on Juliet Street.

6:52 p.m. – An officer aided a resident director in following up a reported smell of marijuana.

7:15 p.m. – A thermal detector in the penthouse of Biomedical Science Tower 3 activated a fire alarm.

7:23 p.m. – A man reported the theft of his book bag in Posvar Hall.

11:32 p.m. – A man in Sutherland Hall reported that his wallet was stolen. An investigation is pending.

Thursday, Jan. 12

1:21 p.m. – Police monitored a protest from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. No arrests or citations were made.

2:37 p.m. – A man in Posvar Hall reported that his wallet was stolen.

3:25 p.m. – A woman reported that her wallet was stolen while riding a PAT bus in December.

5:15 p.m. – Several vehicles were towed for parking in an area that was marked no parking for the basketball game.

6:48 p.m. – Police arrested non-affiliate Michael Sheffield, of 5624 Wesley Ave., for possession of drug paraphernalia.

9:37 p.m. – A woman reported that a man mooned her at the pool in Trees Hall.

11:16 p.m. – Non-affiliate Ryan Kustron, of McMurray, Pa., was cited for criminal mischief near UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.

Friday, Jan. 13

3:36 a.m. – An officer discovered that the front window of the cafeteria in Sutherland Hall was broken. An investigation is pending.

8:13 a.m. – A woman in the William Pitt Union reported finding her office door open when she arrived for work.

11:04 a.m. – Someone in Forbes Tower reported receiving harassing phone calls. An investigation is pending.

11:48 a.m. – A man in the Fitzgerald Field House reported that money was taken from his office. An investigation is pending.

12:04 p.m. – An officer reported traffic problems in the 100 block of Lothrop Street.

2 p.m. – Someone in Centre Plaza Apartments reported the theft of computer wires.

2:18 p.m. – A woman in Hillman Library reported that her purse was stolen.

3:18 p.m. – A man in the William Pitt Union reported the theft of his book bag.

4 p.m. – Police arrested non-affiliate Clinton Connors, of Gibsonia, Pa., on an outstanding county warrant in David Lawrence Hall.
