Chesterfield chili

1 lb. ground beef one or two garlic cloves, minced 3/4 cup water 3 tsp. chili powder 1/2 cup… 1 lb. ground beef one or two garlic cloves, minced 3/4 cup water 3 tsp. chili powder 1/2 cup chopped onion 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/4 tsp. hot pepper sauce (Tabasco) 28 oz. can whole tomatoes, chopped 10 3/4 oz. can tomato soup 6 oz. tomato paste small can green chilies, chopped and drained 15 1/2 oz. kidney beans, drained

Brown beef and onions. Add remaining ingredients, except beans. Simmer for 2 hours. Add beans.

Optional: Serve with a spoonful of sour cream and a sprinkle of cheddar cheese.
