Wednesday, Aug. 10
12:46 p.m. — A man reported the attempted theft of his motorcycle near the Chevron Science Center. The incident was cleared.
3:54 p.m. — Non-affiliate Sharon E. Phipps, of 301 Charles St., was cited for defiant trespass in the William Pitt Union.
4:28 p.m. — A man reported that his computer was stolen from Sennott Square. An investigation is pending.
8:06 p.m. — Police cited non-affiliate Sharon E. Phipps, of 301 Charles St., for defiant trespass in the LIS building.
1:44 a.m. — Officers assisted city police with a motorcycle accident at the intersection of Forbes Avenue and Bigelow Boulevard. The incident was cleared.

12:08 a.m. — Someone stole a ring from a store in Sennott Square.
Friday, Aug. 12
2:44 a.m. — Officers assisted the Pittsburgh Fire Department with a couch on fire in the 300 block of Oakland Avenue. The incident was cleared.
3:15 p.m. — Police arrested non-affiliate Mark Busch, of 6446 Rosemoore St., for possession of narcotics and narcotic paraphernalia.
3:15 p.m. — Police cited non-affiliate Neal Hannan, of 1800 Harpster St., for defiant trespass.
Sunday, Aug. 14
2:52 a.m. — Officers assisted city police with an auto accident in the 400 block of Mckee Place.
10:13 a.m. — Non-affiliate Udell T. Whitley, of 100 W. North Ave., was cited for defiant trespass in the Frick Fine Arts building.
Monday, Aug. 15
7:56 a.m. — A trailer became detached from a truck parked on University Drive. The trailer rolled down University Drive and knocked over a streetlight. The incident was cleared.
9:04 a.m. — Officers assisted city police with a reported stabbing in Bellefield Hall. The report was found to be false.
4:53 p.m. — Police assisted school counselors in dealing with students fighting on a school van in the 300 block of Bouquet Street. The incident was cleared.
Tuesday, Aug. 16
1:41 a.m. — Non-affiliate Teresa Walsh, of 135 Meridan St., was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the 3300 block of Forbes Avenue.
Wednesday, Aug. 17
2:18 a.m. — Police cited student Sean McCue, of Allentown, Pa., for disorderly conduct at the corner of Fifth Avenue and Thackeray Street.
Thursday, Aug. 18
6:42 a.m. — Officers arrested non-affiliate Kenneth McConeghy, of McKees Rocks Pa., for defiant trespass and presenting a false ID to law enforcement.
Saturday, Aug. 20
4:40 a.m. — Police assisted city police with a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Centre Avenue and Allequippa Street. The incident was cleared.
10:46 a.m. — Officers assisted city police with a protest in the 3700 block of Forbes Avenue and arrested non-affiliate Justin B. Krane, of 228 Cairo St., for failure to disperse.
4:39 p.m. — An officer extinguished a fire in a trash can behind the log cabin near the Cathedral of Learning.
Sunday, Aug. 21
1:12 a.m. — Student Jennifer B. Brown, of 719 West Sutherland Hall, was cited for public drunkenness in front of 3909 Forbes Avenue.
Monday, Aug. 22
5:36 p.m. — Police cited non-affiliate Michael P. Lawrence, of Harrison City, Pa., for defiant trespass in David Lawrence Hall.
Tuesday, Aug. 23
10:38 a.m. — Someone stole money from room 109 in Trees Hall. An investigation is pending.
7:56 p.m. — Police cited non-affiliate Rahman Hafiz, of no fixed address, for aggressive panhandling on the corner of Forbes Avenue and Mckee Place.
11:03 p.m. — Officers transported a man from Posvar Hall to a local hospital who said he was in need of medical attention and had lost his medication. The incident was cleared.
11:06 p.m. — A man reported that his bike was stolen from in front of Hillman Library. An investigation is pending.
Wednesday, Aug. 24
8:06 a.m. — Several vehicles were towed from an area that was marked “No parking” in the 3900 block of Forbes Avenue.
8:52 a.m. — A University vehicle was involved in an accident on Fifth Avenue between Lytton and Tennyson avenues. No one was injured.
12:58 p.m. — Officers broke up a fight at 3417 Forbes Avenue. Neither individual wanted medical treatment and no arrests were made.
1:53 p.m. — An officer extinguished a small fire in the mulch outside of Pennsylvania Hall.
7:13 p.m. — Police found students on the roof of Litchfield Tower A and escorted them off.
10:17 p.m. — A resident director caught three students smoking marijuana outside of Sutherland Hall. Judicial board papers were filed.
Thursday, Aug. 25
11:42 a.m. — A resident director found a dead cat in a student’s room in Brackenridge Hall. The resident director filed judicial board papers.
1:30 p.m. — A student reported that two bikes were stolen from 307 N. Neville St.
2:40 p.m. — A vehicle was towed on Darragh Street for a parking violation.
3:21 p.m. — Police cited non-affiliate George Williams, of no fixed address, for retail theft at Maggie ‘ Stella’s in Sennott Square.
7:00 p.m. — An employee in the Book Center reported that money was taken from her purse, which was left in the employee room. An investigation is pending.
Friday, Aug. 26
12:19 a.m. — Officers cited student Brian P. Flannery, of Wyomissing, Pa., for disorderly conduct on Atwood Street near Dave and Andy’s.
2:17 a.m. — Police cited student Leann Smith, of Lebanon, Pa., for underage drinking in McCormick Hall.
2:24 a.m. — Student Matthew Pierce, of 494 New Texas Road, was cited for public drunkenness at Forbes Avenue and Bouquet Street.
3:40 a.m. — Officers cited student Seth Rickards, of Philadelphia, Pa., at Bates Street and Semple Street for underage drinking.
