2:27 p.m. — A man reported that his stereo had been taken… Monday, Jan. 31
2:27 p.m. — A man reported that his stereo had been taken from inside his vehicle, which was parked on University Drive.
3:25 p.m. — Someone reported the theft of a planner and a passport from the locker area of the fitness center in the Petersen Events Center. An investigation is pending.
3:34 p.m. — A person provided additional information about damage to a lounge in Tower A. An investigation is pending.
4:18 p.m. — Someone in Eddie’s Cafe turned over a suspected counterfeit $20 bill. The incident was cleared.
Tuesday, Feb. 1
3:40 p.m. — A guard in Trees Hall confiscated a Pitt ID card being used by another person. The person left the area before police arrived.
7:50 p.m. — Someone reported being harassed by an aggressive panhandler in the 3900 block of Forbes Avenue. Officers gave trespass warnings and escorted the panhandler from the area.
8:59 p.m. — A person reported finding items on a paper distribution box near the intersection of Fifth and Tennyson avenues. An officer placed the items in recovered property.
9:37 p.m. — An officer assisted city police in responding to an assault report from Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005, in the 300 block of Atwood Street.
Wednesday, Feb. 2
12:20 a.m. — An officer responded to a noise complaint from a suite in Bouquet Gardens, Building E. The offending music was turned down, and the incident was cleared.
12:57 p.m. — Someone set fire to a trashcan in a ladies’ room in Crawford Hall. An investigation is pending.
