9:53 a.m. — An officer went to the 200 block of Dithridge… Thursday, Feb. 10

9:53 a.m. — An officer went to the 200 block of Dithridge Street to check on the well-being of a student. The student was not at home, and the incident was cleared.

10:33 a.m. — An elevator repairman released people stuck in an elevator in Alumni Hall.

11:10 a.m. — Someone reported a theft from the mailroom in Sutherland Hall. An investigation is pending.

11:40 a.m. — An engineer released people stuck in an elevator in Alumni Hall.

12:46 p.m. — Officers received a report of a trashcan fire on the second floor of David Lawrence Hall. The city fire department responded, and an investigation is pending.

3:48 p.m. — A person in Salk Hall reported being harassed by a known person.

4:19 p.m. — Officers assisted city police responding to a report of sexual assault that occurred off campus.

Friday, Feb. 11

12:33 a.m. —An officer near the intersection of Fifth Avenue and Robinson Street recovered a vehicle that the city police had reported stolen. The officer had the vehicle towed and notified the owner.

3:53 a.m. — An officer found a person loitering near Lothrop Hall and checked him. The man, nonaffiliate Dennis Nice, of Bensalem, Pa., was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Bucks County.

11:30 a.m. — An officer used a patrol car to transport an injured person to the hospital. The person reported falling on the 100 block of Lothrop Street.

12:21 p.m. — A woman turned over property found in her car when it was stolen off-campus last year. The items were placed in recovered property, and the incident was cleared.

12:22 p.m. — A person turned in a gold ring found near the intersection of Fifth and Bellefield avenues. The item was placed in recovered property, and the incident was cleared.

12:46 p.m. — A person with a nosebleed in the Cathedral of Learning refused treatment from city medics.

2:12 p.m. — Occupants of Chevron Science Center activated a fire alarm in response to a chemical spill in the loading dock. Health and safety officials and the city fire department responded to the alarm.

2:19 p.m. — A man in Bouquet Gardens, Building D, reported that someone threw a beer bottle through his window.

3:06 p.m. — A man in Posvar Hall reported the loss of his stereo faceplate. The incident was cleared.

7:17 p.m. — Family members reported that Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic security had a physical encounter with a patient. An investigation is pending.

9:09 p.m. — A woman in Mervis Hall called the station, requesting that officers check for her purse in a classroom. An officer located the purse, which was placed in a property locker.

Saturday, Feb. 12

12:19 a.m. — Officers at the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity house arrested student Bradley Eugene Weigold, of New Kensington, Pa., for presenting false ID to law enforcement authorities.

1:40 a.m. — An officer confiscated a child’s bike from two people who said they had found it at an unknown location. The officer placed the bike in recovered property, and the incident was cleared.

2:04 a.m. — Student Claire T. Wingerd, of Litchfield Tower A, Room 1918, was cited in Tower A for underage drinking. A juvenile was also arrested.

3:01 a.m. — Nonaffiliate Karmell R. Harris, of 3351 McNeil Place, was arrested for drunk driving on North Bouquet Street.

3:21 a.m. — A fire alarm in Lothrop Hall was activated by a couch burning in the fourth floor lounge. The city fire department responded, and the area sprinkler system activated. The incident was cleared.

4:27 p.m. — A person in Chevron Science Center reported a water leak from lab sinks. An engineer was notified.

Sunday, Feb. 13

2:46 a.m. — Nonaffiliate Chad Zyma, of East McKeesport, Pa., was cited near the William Pitt Union driveway and Bigelow Boulevard for scattering rubbish.

3:09 a.m. — A person in the Phi Kappa Theta house reported that someone had broken the glass in the kitchen door.

4:06 a.m. — Police in Bruce Hall cited nonaffiliate Dean W. Haggerty, of Erie, Pa., for underage drinking.

4:54 a.m. — Student Joseph A. Hagerty, of 394 Carmen Drive, was cited at David Lawrence Hall for public drunkenness.

Monday, Feb. 14

1:42 a.m. — A fire alarm in Falk School was activated by excessive heat in the boiler room. An engineer was notified, and the incident was cleared.

6:15 a.m. — A person in McCormick Hall reported missing glass in a window. The incident was cleared.
