7:47 a.m. — An officer checked on the welfare of a person lying on… a?4?y, January 24
7:47 a.m. — An officer checked on the welfare of a person lying on the ground of Fifth Avenue between Bouquet and Thackeray Streets. The incident was cleared.
11:11 a.m. — A student reported that she lost her cell phone somewhere on Forbes Avenue in Squirrel Hill.
12:01 p.m. — Officers responded to a woman choking on a pill on the 32nd floor of the Cathedral of Learning. City medics were dispatched but were not needed.
12:31 p.m. — A student reported her wallet stolen from her desk in Victoria Hall.
2:06 p.m. — A person recovered a purse on the steps of the Petersen Events Center and turned it over to police.
2:32 p.m. — A student reported the theft of several items from her room in Pennsylvania Hall. An investigation is pending.
4:23 p.m. — Nonaffiliate Warren Myers, of 301 3rd Ave., was stopped for a bus-lane violation at Fifth and Bouquet Street and was cited for driving under suspension.
10:57 p.m. — A fire alarm was activated in Falk School, but no smoke or fire was found. The alarm went off a second time, and the system was put on hold. An investigation is pending.
11:36 p.m. — A broken pipe in the Petersen Events Center was reported to have caused water damage. An engineer fixed the pipe and the incident was cleared.
