There is no question that, right now, the Steelers are the team to beat in the NFL. As a… There is no question that, right now, the Steelers are the team to beat in the NFL. As a diehard Patriots fan from New England, I grimaced as the superior Steelers dismantled my team for 60 minutes in Week 8.
After reading the Nov. 9 editorial (“An order of winning, hold the Haterade”), however, I found one critical mistake. To claim that the Super Bowl is in sight halfway through the season seems rather arrogant. The Patriots are still the defending World Champions, and who could forget the day when the Steelers tripped over their own travel plans and choked at Heinz Field in the 2002 AFC Championship game? A Steelers-Eagles Super Bowl would be great, sure, but the Steelers need to play game to game, and the Eagles need to not choke in the Playoffs like they did in what, 2002, 2003 and 2004?
