12:18 a.m. — Officers assisted security guards from the Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic with transporting an escaped patient back to WPIC.

2:19 p.m. — A University equipment operator backed a vehicle into a bus shelter in the Old Cemetery lot, breaking glass on the side of the shelter.

4:01 p.m. — Someone reported being harassed in December 2002. An investigation is pending.

7:45 p.m. — Officers cited a man at Fifth and Morewood avenues for driving with a suspended license. His car was towed.

Wednesday, July 7

2:21 a.m. — Nonaffiliate Melissa Johnson, of 2401 Bedford Ave., was cited for disorderly conduct at Euler Way and Bouquet Street.

11:02 a.m. — Burning toast activated a fire alarm in Thackeray Hall.

2:47 p.m. — A man reported damage to his government-assigned vehicle in the Posvar Hall garage.

4:48 p.m. — A man reported that his motorcycle was damaged when an unknown individual attempted to steal it.

7:47 p.m. — Officers cited nonaffiliate Ali Albazooni, of no known address, for defiant trespass at Sennott and Bouquet streets.

Thursday, July 8

2:02 a.m. — Staff members accidentally activated an intrusion alarm in Sutherland Hall.

9:12 a.m. — A man reported having lost his cell phone on July 4.

5:37 p.m. — Officers assisted city police with a woman reporting that she was struck by a car at Bates Street and Meyran Avenue on June 29.

11:46 p.m. — Pittsburgh Medics transported a person found sleeping outside Posvar Hall to the hospital.

Friday, July 9

7 a.m. — A fire alarm was accidentally activated in the Petersen Events Center. The incident was cleared.

3:22 p.m. — A shuttle driver knocked down the power wire to a booth in the OC lot.

4:42 p.m. — A man reported that his car window was broken while the vehicle was parked at an on-campus location.

9:31 p.m. — Officers cited nonaffiliates Charles Carver, of no known address, and Andre Banks, also of no known address, for open-container violations in the Q lot.

10:16 p.m. — A security alarm sounded in 124 Cathedral of Learning, the vice chancellor’s office. The incident was cleared when officers found that wires were cut by workers in the area.

10:54 p.m. — Officers assisted city police at Fifth and Morewood avenues in stopping people believed to have been involved in a hit-and-run accident. The suspects were taken into custody, and the incident was cleared at the scene.

Saturday, July 10

9:04 a.m. — Four male students, wanted on counts of aggravated assault, criminal conspiracy, criminal mischief and criminal trespass, turned themselves in to the warrant office. Officers arrested Daniel Pickens, of Bridgeville, Pa., Lance Asbee, of 101 Allison Dr., Christopher McKillop, of Export, Pa., and Clinton Session, of Pompano Beach, Fla.

4:25 p.m. — Officers cited Carl Booth, of 12 Gilford Court, for public drunkenness and transported him from 315 Atwood St. to Mercy Hospital.

4:28 p.m. — Officers cited Timothy Fitzgerald, of Wilkinsburg, Pa., for an open-container violation, and confiscated razor blades, which he was attempting to sell.

7:35 p.m. — At Allequippa Street and University Drive, officers issued open-container-violation citations to nonaffiliates Steven Robinson, of 20 Almeda St., and Jerome Robinson, of 2147 Rose Dr. The officers also confiscated a small amount of marijuana.

10:14 p.m. — Officers cited Brandon McClure and Jessica Seders, of Pottstown, Pa., for open-container violations in the Euler Way area.

Monday, July 12

12:31 a.m. — A custodian reported smoke on the second floor of the Law School. The incident was cleared.

3:59 a.m. — Officers arrested nonaffiliate Angela Lombardo, of Verona, Pa., for the theft of medication and syringes from a treatment room in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. An investigation is pending.
