Tuesday, May 11 12:53 a.m. — During a traffic stop at Fifth Avenue and Robinson… Tuesday, May 11 12:53 a.m. — During a traffic stop at Fifth Avenue and Robinson Street, police confiscated an air gun and cited a driver for unlawful activities involving an ornamental lamp.

2:25 a.m. — Jeffery Opitz, of Dingmans Ferry, Pa., was arrested for burglary at 355 Atwood St.

7:27 a.m. — A man reported finding two doors unlocked in Benedum Hall. An investigation is pending.

10:07 a.m. — An arrest warrant was cleared for nonaffiliate Eva Raget, of 2716 Pyramind St.

3:11 p.m. — Police assisted in responding to an armed robbery at a reported location. The incident was cleared.

10:13 p.m. — Nonaffiliate Derrick Payne, of no fixed address, was cited for an open container violation at an unreported location.

Wednesday, May 12 7:50 a.m. — An arrest warrant was issued for nonaffiliate Christine Kearns, of 100 Oxford Dr.

10:30 a.m. — A woman reported a harassing message left on her voicemail in Parran Hall. An investigation is pending.

1:53 p.m. — Someone reported an incident of forgery in Posvar Hall. An investigation is pending.

4:54 p.m. –Nonaffiliates Derrick Payne, of no fixed address, and Ali Albazooni, of 1002 Walnut St., were cited for public drunkenness at an unreported location.

8:43 p.m. –Derrick Payne and Nathaniel Swanson, both nonaffiliates of no fixed address, were cited for open container violations at an unreported location.

9:05 p.m. –Nonaffiliate Charles Sekerski, of no fixed address, was arrested for loitering and defiant trespass at 236 Oakland Ave.

Thursday, May 13 2:18 a.m. — Officers found the number seven missing from the marquee sign at the intersection of Fifth and Bellefield avenues. An investigation is pending.

2:52 a.m. — Three men ran from a stolen vehicle after a police chase, which ended at the intersection of O’Hara Street and Bigelow Boulevard. An investigation by city police is pending.

4:12 a.m. — An officer came across a trash fire at an unreported location. Two men ran from the scene, and the incident was cleared.

Friday, May 14 3 p.m. — Officers received a report of a suspicious man in Alumni Hall, but they could not find him when they checked the area.

Saturday, May 15 12:51 p.m. — Police at 4400 Forbes Ave. arrested nonaffiliate Charles H. Clayton, of Mondsville, W.V., with a warrant from another agency.

Sunday, May 16 11:14 a.m. — An officer at Forbes Hall Pavilion found a ladder leaning against the rear of the building and providing access to the roof. The officer checked the building and notified housing to remove the ladder.

Monday, May 17 6:25 a.m. — The security bars of Einstein Bagels in Posvar Hall were found bent, and beverage items were missing. An investigation is pending.

Wednesday, May 19 2:14 p.m. — Police received reports of a university-wide telecommunications outage, resulting from a power problem. The service was restored.

Thursday, May 20, 2004 8:10 a.m. — Officers assisted city police and fire departments with traffic control at a fire in the 300 block of Bouquet Street.

9:03 a.m. — Someone in the Cathedral of Learning reported not being able to get into a room, because a chair was wedged under the doorknob. An officer performed an area check, and the incident was cleared at the scene.

10:38 a.m. — A man reported being harassed by a group of high school students while he was walking on Terrace Street. The incident was cleared at the scene.

Friday, May 21 4:50 a.m. — Jon Daugherty, of Murrysville, Pa., was cited for retail theft at the 7-eleven at 3955 Forbes Ave.
