*5:31 p.m. – The grounds crew turned in two books found in the BQ Lot, near Bouquet Street and Fifth Avenue.

Thursday, Jan. 8

-2:26 p.m. – A fire alarm was activated in Tower A. Police reported that it was an actual activation. The incident was cleared.

-4:19 p.m. – A person in Scaife Hall reported that someone was making repeated harassing phone calls. An investigation is pending.

Friday, Jan. 9

-12:46 a.m. – A fire alarm in the Cathedral of Learning was activated, but officers found that it was a false activation.

-1:09 a.m. – Police in Holland Hall cited Tamara E. Farmer, of Winston-Salem, N.C., for underage drinking.

-7:05 a.m. – A student in Sutherland Hall reported that a person she didn’t know was in her dorm room. The person had left the area when the officers arrived, and the police alerted the resident director and checked the area.

-11:03 a.m. – A staff member in the William Pitt Union reported finding an interior room door with the latch taped. The incident was cleared.

-2:10 p.m. – A man reported the theft of his property from a locker in the Petersen Events Center.

-4:29 p.m. – A woman reported having seen someone going through her coat on Jan. 5, 2004. Nothing was taken and the person left the area. The incident was cleared.

-4:37 p.m. – Someone in Sutherland Hall reported being harassed by an ex-boyfriend on the telephone.

-9:04 p.m. – Officers in the OC Lot assisted a man in locating his car.

Saturday, Jan. 10

-12:28 a.m. – Officers in Towers lobby cited Daniel I. Hawes, of Yeadon, Pa., for underage drinking.

-1:37 a.m. – Nonaffiliate Laura McDermott, of Vandergrift, Pa., was cited in Sutherland Hall for underage drinking.

-5:14 a.m. – Police responded to a verbal, domestic incident in Centre Avenue Apartments. The parties were separated and the incident was cleared at the scene.

-10:28 a.m. – Officers assisted city police responding to a reported theft at an off-campus fraternity on N. Neville Street.

-2:29 p.m. – An officer in the William Pitt Union found a water leak from a radiator on the fourth floor. An engineer was notified.

-3:17 p.m. – Police found a vehicle at the biotechnology center that the Wilkinsburg Police had reported stolen

-5:25 p.m. – A person in Tower B reported problems with a roommate. The resident assistant was advised.

-5:49 p.m. – A woman reported that a package was delivered to her on Wednesday, Jan. 7, by the post office, and that someone had taken it from the lobby. An investigation is pending.

-6:33 p.m. – A fire alarm was activated in Bouquet Gardens, Building H, when a tenant burned dinner. The incident was cleared at the scene.

-1:16 a.m. – Police in the Schenley Quad cited Jacob D. Barry, of 1408 Tower A, for underage drinking.

-1:17 a.m. – Dylan Heimbrock, of 513 Tower A, was cited for underage drinking in Tower A.

-1:32 a.m. – Officers in Bouquet Gardens, Building D, cited nonaffiliate Anthony Tyrone Murray, of McKees Rocks, Pa., for underage drinking.

-1:35 a.m. – In Phi Kappa Alpha, Frank W. Dresty, of St. Glastonbury, Conn., was cited for underage drinking.

-2:13 a.m. – Police in Towers cited Nicholas P. Riehl, of 811 Tower B, for underage drinking.

-3:12 a.m. – Police in Towers cited Nicholas P. Riehl, of 811 Tower B, for criminal mischief.

-5:21 a.m. – Medics responded to a man who got his arm caught in a drawer in Bouquet Gardens, Building G. The man was released and treated without incident.

-8:12 a.m. – A guard in the Soldiers and Sailors garage reported damage, caused by low temperatures, to a sprinkler pipe in the garage.

-1:34 p.m. – Officers responded to UPMC Presbyterian for the report of a severely intoxicated individual.

-10:33 p.m. – Someone in Towers called to report that a female housekeeper scratched her eye. The housekeeper was transported to UPMC Presbyterian for treatment and her supervisor was notified.

Monday, Jan. 12

-12:56 a.m. – Officers assisted city police in arresting a person spray painting buildings on the 300 block of Atwood Street.
