7:52 a.m. – A person in the Frick Fine Arts building reported that wooden slats from the vent in his office door had been removed.8:26 a.m. – An unknown person took property from two vehicles parked on the 3900 block of Centre Avenue.3:35 p.m. – A person reported the theft of property from her car parked on Aliquippa Street and Passage Way.5:31 p.m. – An officer responded to a reported water leak in Thackeray Hall. The leak originated in a sixth floor restroom. Police notified custodians and engineers.7:18 p.m. – A burning trashcan in a Graduate School of Public Health bathroom activated a fire alarm. Officers extinguished the fire and the Pittsburgh Fire Department responded.8:21 p.m. – Police made a warrant arrest of nonaffiliate Brian Anthony Ray, of Penn Hills, Pa., at Fifth Avenue and Tennyson Street.9:02 p.m. – A person reported the theft of money from his wallet, which had been in his Trees Hall locker.
Wednesday, Oct. 1
12:06 a.m. – An officer went to the Hillman Library computer lab to pick up a wallet that had been left there. When the officer got the wallet from the attendant, its owner came and claimed it.10:49 a.m. – Officers found a vehicle in the U Lot which had been stolen in the city.1:51 p.m. – A person reported that someone accessed her computer without authorization to do so. An investigation is pending.3:35 p.m. – City medics treated a person with a minor injury in Benedum Hall. The person stated he would make his own arrangements to go to the hospital.7:35 p.m. -There was a minor vehicle accident reported on Bigelow Boulevard, in front of the Hillman Library.9:27 p.m. – A Hillman Library guard turned over a book bag that had been found to an officer. The officer contacted the owner, who sent someone to claim the bag.11:00 p.m. – A person reported the theft of property from his car in the Graduate School of Public Health’s garage.
Thursday, Oct. 2
1:28 a.m. – A person reported the theft of his vehicle from the U Lot.2:29 a.m. – An officer stopped a car for a moving violation. The driver was found to be unlicensed and was issued motor vehicle citations. The car was towed.
