• Five computer towers were reported stolen from the Cathedral of Learning at 11:52 a.m.

• In the William Pitt Union at 3:54 p.m., someone reported that a supervisor’s husband threatened him or her on Jan. 11.

Tuesday, Jan. 14

• A video projector was stolen from a classroom in the Cathedral at 12:09 p.m.

• At 5:41 p.m., a man turned in a knife he owned at the south ministation and requested that it be destroyed. The knife was placed in the recovered property room.

Wednesday, Jan. 15

• In Sutherland Hall at 9:58 p.m., a resident director informed an officer that drug paraphernalia had been discovered in a room. The resident director confiscated the items and gave them to the officer for safekeeping.

Thursday, Jan. 16

• In Bruce Hall, four people were stuck in an elevator between the fourth and fifth floors at 10 p.m. An elevator repairman freed them without incident.

• At 11:22 p.m. in Bruce Hall, four people were stuck in an elevator between the sixth and seventh floors. An elevator repairman released them without incident.

Friday, Jan. 17

• Jordan McNeill Byrd, of Arlington, Va., was cited for an open container violation, and Matthew Kenneth Rice, 20, of Dallas, Pa., was cited for underage drinking on O’Hara Street at 2:17 a.m.

• At 4:11 p.m., a fire alarm was activated in Sigma Chi by steam from the laundry room.

• In the Cathedral at 5:08 p.m., Pitt police received a report that a man was representing himself as a police officer.

Saturday, Jan. 18

• Tovah Gordon, 19, of 923 Litchfield Tower C, was cited for underage drinking in the Union at 1:30 a.m.

• At 12:39 p.m., Pitt police received a report of criminal mischief inside the telecommunications closet in Bouquet Gardens.

Monday, Jan. 20

• Steven Benso, 19, of 411 Tower B, was cited for underage drinking at 12:32 a.m. in Tower B.

• At 2:06 a.m. officers transported a man from Sutherland Hall to UPMC Presbyterian. The man had broken his nose sledding.

• Officers received a call from a woman in Bouquet Gardens who reported that she couldn’t move her head at 9:51 a.m. Paramedics transported her to Presbyterian.

• At 10 a.m. in Alumni Hall, dust from a fan activated a fire alarm.

• A custodian called the Pittsburgh fire department to report chemical fumes in Salk Hall at 2:13 a.m. The department responded and said the smell was not harmful. University Health and Safety was notified.
