In Monday’s cover story, “More than 5,000 march through Oakland streets,” Mike Bartko, a… In Monday’s cover story, “More than 5,000 march through Oakland streets,” Mike Bartko, a speaker from the Islamic Center, was quoted as saying, “It’s about a tyrant – a tyrant who can do no wrong in our eyes as long as we’re bombing Iraq.”
He actually said: “It’s about a tyrant – a tyrant who could do no wrong in our eyes as long as he was bombing Iran,” referring to Saddam Hussein.
The Pitt News regrets the error.
