At 11:29 a.m., Pitt police assisted the Middlesex police department on an investigation regarding harassment by communication.

A woman called from Litchfield Tower B at 8:56 p.m. to report that her camera had been taken from her room.

Tuesday, Nov. 12

Lee Alexander Slater, of New Castle, Pa., was cited for public drunkenness at David Lawrence Hall at 3:10 a.m.

At 3:46 a.m., at 236 Oakland Ave., a woman reported that she saw someone around the outside of the window of her apartment. Officers checked the area, but did not find anyone. An investigation is pending.

Police received a report that a vehicle went out of control and hit a building near Bellefield Towers at 8:43 a.m. The victim was transported to the UPMC Presbyterian emergency room. City police will investigate.

Someone reported the theft of food items from Sennott Square at 10:32 a.m.

A man reported in the Cathedral of Learning at 3:45 p.m. that he was assaulted on Friday, Nov. 8. The man was referred to the magistrate.

Wednesday, Nov. 13

In Hillman Library. at 10:15 a.m. Edward R. Schneider, 19, of 1508 Tower C, was cited for underage drinking.

Someone reported the theft of a PlayStation 2 from Tower A at 7:45 p.m.

Thursday, Nov. 14

Aaron Burr, of 2118 S. Braddock Ave., was arrested for loitering and prowling at 236 Oakland Ave. at 12:38 a.m.

At Sigma Alpha Epsilon, at 6:34 a.m., someone reported that a brick had been thrown through a window.

Friday, Nov. 15

Someone reported from Victoria Hall at 9:28 a.m. that a woman called trying to sell printer toners for more money than they are sold for. The woman would not answer the person’s questions.

A man reported at 9:58 a.m. that he was punched while trying to break up a fight at 306 Oakland Ave.

At the Allegheny County Jail, at 12:49 p.m., an officer served a Pitt police arrest warrant for receiving stolen property on nonstudent Tyrone A. Goodwin, of 348 Robison St.

Police received a report that a University vehicle was struck by a passing bus and had a side mirror taken off in the Information Science parking lot at 1:14 p.m.

At 1:40 p.m., Pitt police assisted city police with the investigation of an assault that occurred on Melwood Avenue the previous weekend.

Police received a report of a homeless man in the Law School library causing a disturbance at 5:34 p.m. The homeless man was spoken to.

Nonstudent Benjamin Alexander Lowe, of 60 Bates St., was arrested for defiant trespass in David Lawrence Hall at 8:06 p.m.

At 11:03 p.m., a Van Call dispatcher reported a motor vehicle accident with injuries. The officer stated that there were two injuries and three vehicles involved.
