At the Book Center at 10 a.m., nonstudent Stephan Robert Buzza, of 1443 Tolma Ave., was arrested for retail theft of a book.

A woman called from Sutherland Hall at 3:15 p.m. to report that her ex-boyfriend called from Boston, Mass., threatening suicide. The Boston police department was notified.

In Bouquet Gardens at 9:37 p.m., a woman reported that an unidentified male tried to enter her room, possibly by mistake. The area was checked with a negative result.

Friday, Nov. 8

In the Bouquet Street and Fifth Avenue parking lot, Patrick Creighton, of Philadelphia, was cited for public drunkenness at 2:12 a.m.

A person in Chevron Hall reported possible problems with a former employee who was not on the scene at 2:20 p.m.

Police responded to a report of someone writing on the walls in the Cathedral of Learning at 5:38 p.m.

A man reported at 8:24 p.m. that he was being threatened and assaulted by someone he knows on University Drive, near Eberly Hall.

Three juveniles were arrested at 9:21 p.m. in the Forbes Hall Pavilion for simple assault, terroristic threats, reckless endangerment of another person, facsimile of a firearm and conspiracy after an incident on Ward Street involving a Pitt shuttle.

Saturday, Nov. 9

Michael Richards, of 218 N. Craig St., was cited for public drunkenness at Phi Kappa Theta and taken to UPMC Presbyterian at 12:22 a.m.

At 12:34 a.m., Donald L. Patrick, 20, of Shenandoah, Pa., was cited for underage drinking at the Phi Kappa Theta House.

Two juveniles were cited for disorderly conduct at 12:56 a.m. at the Delta Tau Delta house. They were taken to the station and released to their parents.

Cari K. Vincent, 19, of Lansdale, Pa., was cited at 1:02 a.m. for underage drinking at Phi Kappa Theta.

Imoniri V. Ahonkhai, 19, of 328 McKee Place, was cited for underage drinking in Litchfield Towers lobby at 2:33 a.m. and then transported to Presbyterian.

A person in Tower A reported harassment by phone call at 6:15 p.m.

At 7:50 p.m., a woman reported that she was assaulted the previous evening by a friend, while she was at a party on Dithridge Street.

City fire personnel responded to a report of a Dumpster on fire outside 121 University Place at 10:30 p.m.

Sunday, Nov. 10

Nonstudent David Allen Bradford III, of 1407 Pitt St., was cited at 12:09 a.m. for disorderly conduct.

Someone in Tower A reported several strange telephone calls from an unknown person.

Nonstudent Julie Zimmerman, 18, of 1345 Vicroy St., was cited for underage drinking at the Pi Kappa Alpha house at 12:51 a.m.

Police cited six people for underage drinking in McCormick Hall at 1:15 a.m. Five students, Elias George, Matthew Gleisberg, Benjamin Mell and Scott Szabo, all 19, and Lucas Turko, 20, all of 601 McCormick Hall, as well as 19-year-old nonstudent Christopher Berg, of Fleetwood, Pa., were issued citations.

Richard Garcia, 19, of 659 Lothrop Hall, was cited for underage drinking in the Soldiers’ and Sailors’ parking lot at 2 a.m.

Police cited Corey Cumiskey, of 3615 Dawson St., and Carrie L. McMaster, of 3660 Louisa St., at 2:17 a.m. for disorderly conduct at the Petersen Events Center.

At 2:44 a.m., at Sigma Alpha Epsilon, police cited nonstudent Michael McCloskey, of 4716 Ellsworth Ave., for disorderly conduct.

Adam Bevevino, 20, of Allentown, Pa., was cited for underage drinking on Lothrop Street at Presbyterian Drive at 2:46 a.m.

Nonstudent Katlin Dougherty, 18, of Philadelphia, was cited for underage drinking at the corner of Forbes Avenue and Atwood Street at 2:46 a.m.

At 2:49 a.m., three nonstudent juveniles were cited for disorderly conduct after an incident on Forbes Avenue. The juveniles were transported to the station and released to a parent or guardian.

Several people were warned for disorderly conduct in Sutherland Hall at 3:54 a.m. Officers confiscated a set of nun-chucks and a baseball bat.

A man called from Sutherland Hall to report that his cowboy hat was stolen at 5:25 a.m.

A woman called from Holland Hall at 5:15 p.m. to report that her girlfriend had overdosed. The woman was transported to Presbyterian emergency room at 5:29 p.m.

At 5:54 p.m. at 234 Oakland Ave., police responded to a report that a man was down in the bushes and unresponsive. The man was transported to Mercy Hospital emergency room.

An officer reported at 9:30 p.m. that the University of Pittsburgh sign at the corner of Fifth and Bellefield avenues had a number missing from the it. The seven was missing from the date 1780. The incident is under investigation.

In Tower A at 10:32 p.m., paramedics responded to a man who had cut his head and transported him to Presbyterian for treatment.

A guard in Hillman Library found a test tube wrapped in a napkin. The test tube was filled with liquid. The guard turned in the test tube at 10:53 p.m. and the tube was taken to a UPMC lab for analysis.
