At 7:36 a.m. in the Cathedral of Learning, a set of University keys were recovered and placed in the property room.

Burnt food set off a fire alarm in Ruskin Hall at 10:41 a.m.

Keys were recovered from the 7-Eleven and placed in the property room at 12:32 p.m.

Police recovered a cell phone from Benedum Hall at 3:09 p.m. It was placed in the property room.

An internal investigation took place in Posvar Hall at 5:32 p.m.

At 5:48 p.m., a woman reported that a man has been following her. She wanted to file a report. No location was given and an investigation is pending.

A student reported that a Homecoming Queen poster was defaced in Lawrence Hall at 6:06 p.m. An investigation is pending.

In Lothrop Hall at 10:42 p.m., a resident director said that some of the students vandalized the hallway with trash, grape juice and pizza boxes.

A vending machine was broken into in Sutherland Hall at 11:51 p.m. An investigation is pending.

Wednesday, Oct. 23

In Lothrop Hall at 6:17 a.m., police received a report that a student was ill. Paramedics responded to the scene, but the student refused medical treatment.

Pitt police provided an officer to stand by while an employee was fired from the Book Center at 8:20 a.m.

Police recovered a notebook in Posvar Hall at 12:01 p.m. It was then placed in the property room.

In Litchfield Towers lobby at 12:29 p.m., Pitt police took a recovered set of personal keys to the property room.

Police received a report of a set of lost University keys in the Cathedral of Learning at 12:53 p.m.

In Posvar Hall at 1:55 p.m., police responded to a report that a video camera was stolen.

A student reported that his bike was stolen from the bike rack at the Library of Information Science at 2:25 p.m.

Officers monitored students who were passing out fliers in front of Posvar Hall at 3:31 p.m. They also provided an escort to a person in the area.

At 4:22 p.m., police received a report that someone’s vehicle was hit by another vehicle at the Petersen Events Center.

A student in Lothrop Hall reported at 8:54 p.m. that someone was attempting to sell drugs to him. An investigation is pending.

Thursday, Oct. 24

Police responded to a report at 12:07 a.m. that a student was robbed in the 100 block of Oakland Avenue. An investigation is pending.
