“We wanted to do something to commemorate the tragedy of Sept. 11,” PAT spokesman Bob Grove said. “It’s going to be a difficult day for many people and we wanted to be able to do our share.”

Customers of PAT are asked to look for the window card visible through the front windshield.

“The word ‘remember’ has a lot of precedence in America. Each person has a different meaning for the word remember,” Deborah Cooper, assistant general manager for the division of marketing and customer service, said. “[It] carries a lot more importance than just ‘in remembrance.'”

Cooper said the gesture is meant to portray a message of unity.

“We want to be in line and in symphony with the community,” she said.
