PPC’s first in-person Fall Fest since 2019 delayed for two hours

Food trucks, hundreds of students and a large stage blocked off Schenley Drive most of Sunday. Pitt Program Council hosted the first in-person Fall Fest since 2019, offering Pitt students a day to unwind before midterm season goes into full swing.

The Screenshot: Asia Film Festival, organized by the Asian Studies Center and the Film and Media Studies program, took place Oct. 6-11 at various locations across Pitt’s campus. The festival screened 12 feature and short films from Asian countries.

Pitt dance minor faces uncertain future

In an email sent this summer, a School of Education professor said Pitt may no longer offer dance courses after the 2021-22 academic year. As a result, the dance minor might be terminated, leading to concerns from students who are committed to the program.

One of the earliest Pitt community Instagram pages, Squirrels of Pitt, posts daily images of just that — the squirrels of Pitt. Pictures of squirrels eating acorns, dining hall food, scouring trash cans and even hand-feedings by students.
