Pitt will transition from its current incremental budget process to a new model called Budget ReSTART in fiscal year 2023, which begins July 1. But some shared governance leaders have concerns about the process used to develop the new budget model.

Pitt released a new Gift Acceptance and Naming policy — which went into effect on April 27 — that established updated standards and requirements for the acceptance of gifts and naming on behalf of the University campuswide.
Pitt faculty voted to unionize, creating the largest new union in the country. Chris Deluzio, an adjunct law school professor, said he’s “ecstatic” about the “huge win.”
