Despite the hype for Pitt athletics to reveal the new team uniforms in “retro” colors Sunday, the Panthers didn’t have a great weekend — only the track team provided top finishes.

Five Pitt wrestlers to compete at NCAA Championships

With Pittsburgh hosting the NCAA Championships for the first time since 1957, it’s fitting that the Panthers will send five wrestlers to enjoy the hometown advantage: Micky Phillippi, Demetrius Thomas, Taleb Rahmani, Nino Bonaccorsi and Kellan Stout.
The Baltimore Orioles selected junior pitcher Dan Hammer (18) in the 13th round of the MLB draft.
