Second half brace from Leah Pais propels Panthers past Cincinnati

Pitt women’s soccer defeated Cincinnati 2-0 at Ambrose Urbanic Field on Sunday thanks to a brace by senior forward Leah Pais. Despite their victory, the Panthers lost key senior forward Amanda West with an apparent knee injury.

No. 7 Panthers fend off No. 6 Mountaineers in battle between top-10 teams

While the highly anticipated football edition of the Backyard Brawl is getting a lot of the attention this week, Pitt men’s soccer also had a fairly pivotal game against the Mountaineers. The No. 7 Panthers (1-0, 0-0 ACC) brawled with the No. 6 Mountaineers (1-1, 0-0 Big-12) at Ambrose Urbanic Field in Pittsburgh Monday night and won 3-0 in dominating fashion.

Women’s soccer scrapes out 2-2 draw against Buckeyes on spring play day

Pitt women’s soccer played Ohio State to a 2-2 draw on Saturday afternoon in its annual spring play day, thanks to a late goal from junior forward Amanda West.

Pitt felled by familiar opponent as Fighting Irish advance to College Cup semifinals

After a strong start to the NCAA tournament, No. 5-seeded Pitt men’s soccer fell yet again to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament in penalty kicks. It was the team’s third straight loss to the Fighting Irish.

Men’s soccer secures No. 5 seed in NCAA tournament

Pitt men’s soccer will enter the 2021 NCAA tournament as a No. 5 seed with a bye in the first round. The Panthers regular-season success has them poised to make their mark on the NCAA College Cup.

Men’s soccer dominates in 5-1 rout of UMass
