Following a convincing home victory on Friday night, No. 3 Pitt men’s soccer suffered its second loss of the season on Monday night. The Panthers fell on the road, 2-1, to the No. 19 Akron Zips.
No. 20 Pitt women’s soccer lost 1-0 against the No. 6 TCU Horned Frogs on Sunday morning at Ambrose Urbanic Field.

In its first College Cup appearance in program history, No. 2 Pitt men’s soccer faced one of the most accomplished programs in all of Division I soccer in the No. 3 Indiana Hoosiers. In their 21st trip to the national semifinal, the Hoosiers bested the Panthers 1-0.

The Panthers netted three goals in the first half and capitalized on several mistakes from the UCF backline in an impressive 4-0 victory.
