It’s simply unfair to ask the men’s league to subsidize the women’s league, which would have to happen if men’s and women’s players earned the exact same salaries.

Coming off its first ACC tournament win in program history, Pitt men’s soccer had all the momentum it needed to upset No. 7 Duke. But after 110 minutes of scoreless play, time ran out and the Panther’s Cinderella story was ended on penalty kicks.

The Pitt men’s soccer team opened ACC tournament play Wednesday night by shocking No. 6 Virginia, beating the Cavaliers 2-0 on the road and giving the Panthers their first ever ACC tournament win since joining the conference in 2013.

Pitt fails to win final game of the season

Pitt women’s soccer fell to Boston College, 7-0, in the final game of the season. Because of the result, the team will not advance to the ACC Tournament.

Pitt women’s soccer gets blown away by the Hurricanes

The Pitt women's soccer team shined offensively in the first half of the game, leading the Hurricanes 2-0. But, a quick turnaround in the second half put the Panthers behind and unable to catch up. In the end, Pitt lost to the Hurricanes 3-2.
