Pitt softball falls to in-state rival Penn State in fierce pitching duel

Pitt softball’s woes continue, as they dropped a key rivalry game to Penn State 1-0 on Tuesday. Both team’s pitchers were lights-out, but Penn State narrowly edged out the Panthers in extra innings.

Softball remains winless in ACC play after dropping three games to Louisville

Under the gloomy Pittsburgh sky, the Panthers did just enough to get past in-state opponent Saint Francis (20-13 overall, 8-1 NEC). Pitt (13-16 overall, 1-9 ACC) pulled out a 3-1 home victory on Wednesday.
