Pitt baseball kicked off its 2020 season in Port Charlotte, Florida, over the weekend, posting a 3-1 record over the course of three days. The Panthers started off hot, beating both Indiana State and St. Joseph’s on Friday, before going 1-1 against Ohio State and Iowa to close out the weekend. 
Nico Popa suffered a season-ending injury as a sophomore but fought back to earn second-team All-ACC honors in 2019.

The Toronto Blue Jays currently sit in baseball’s basement. They own a record of 55-84, fifth-worst in all of baseball, and over the summer decided to dip into a loaded farm system. Blue Jays fans had already witnessed the debuts of future stars like Vladamir Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette, but Tuesday night featured the latest addition to Toronto’s youth movement — former Pitt Panther TJ Zeuch.
