‘Our work is far from over’: Pitt hosts first National Day of Racial Healing event

Pitt’s Center on Race and Social Problems (CRSP) hosted its first National Day of Racial Healing event on Tuesday, Jan. 21. Faculty and students engaged in conversations about the racial and political climate surrounding the 2024 presidential inauguration and Martin Luther King Jr. Day, which both occurred on Jan. 20.

Kyaien Conner to bring community focus as director of CRSP

Larry Davis, the dean emeritus of the School of Social Work, passed away on March 30 at 74. A renowned scholar on race in America, Davis joined Pitt as the school’s dean in 2001 and founded the Center on Race and Social Problems shortly after in 2002.
