Pitt added 56 new COVID-19 cases, composed of 48 students and 8 employees, between Tuesday and Thursday. There are 78 students currently in isolation.

More than 300 students have received code of conduct violations for breaking COVID-19 mitigation protocols this semester, according to Vice Provost and Dean of Students Kenyon Bonner.

Sudeep Yedulla — the first student on campus to contract COVID-19 — said “everything that could have gone wrong, went wrong” after he tested positive. Yedulla said Pitt provided little food, delivered broken items and ignored his texts and emails.

According to Pitt’s fall 2020 final exam schedule, 16 classes — mainly chemistry, economics and statistics classes — are allowed to have in-person final exams on Nov. 23 and Nov. 24, and web-based classes will have finals from Nov. 30 to Dec. 3.
