Pitt’s Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion hosted the panel “Structures of Inequity: A Conversation on Social Justice'' as the first event at this year’s Diversity Forum on Tuesday.

As part of Pitt’s annual Diversity Forum, the Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion hosted the event “Combating Environmental Racism and Injustice” on Thursday to discuss experiences with and perspectives on environmental justice.

Pitt’s Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion held the event “Building a Just Educational System,” which focused on how to remove oppression and injustices that prevent students from reaching their fullest potential.

Pitt hosted the event “To Be Oneself” on Wednesday afternoon, which focused on ways the University can take action to support transgender students, faculty and staff and how everyone can support Pittsburgh’s trans community, specifically trans people of color.

Clyde Pickett, a 2017 graduate of Pitt’s School of Education, was appointed as the University’s vice chancellor of diversity and inclusion in June.
