The Panthers (2-0, 0-0 ACC) took down the Tennessee Volunteers (1-1, 0-0 SEC) 41-34 on Saturday as Kenny Pickett threw for 285 yards and two touchdowns. 
The Pitt Panthers will match up against the Tennessee Volunteers this Saturday at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville.

Pitt fans felt an extra jolt of energy from Saturday’s crowd at Heinz Field. After their extended absence, the crowd let loose in the parking lots and stands as the football team trounced UMass.

The Panthers defeated the UMass Minutemen 51-7 at Heinz Field on Saturday, the first time since the 2019 season that a near-capacity crowd was allowed into the stadium, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Redshirt senior quarterback Kenny Pickett led the offense with 262 yards through the air, while the defense’s dominating performance kept the game from being close at any point throughout the game. The performance earned Narduzzi’s approval.
Pitt football will kick off its season against UMass this Saturday at Heinz Field in front of a full capacity crowd for the first time since 2019.
