Student Government Board addressed concerns about discrimination against Muslim and Palestinian students and student worker wages at its weekly meeting Tuesday night at Nordy’s Place.

Jewish and pro-Palestinian organizations remembered those killed during and since the Oct. 7, 2023, attacks in Israel and Palestine at commemorations this week.

In April, the American Civil Liberties Union of Pennsylvania filed a lawsuit on behalf of SJP after Pitt temporarily suspended the club. U.S. district court judge Nicholas J. Ranjan ordered the University to reinstate SJP on Aug. 28, three weeks before the club’s suspension was set to end on Sept. 18.

At its weekly meeting on Tuesday night at Nordy’s Place, Student Government Board addressed concerns from Students for Justice in Palestine about the organization’s recent suspension.
