Water main break affects eight University buildings
March 6, 2015
A water main break on campus has affected eight University buildings, effectively canceling classes in seven of them.
Crews are working to fix the problem, according to spokesman John Fedele. A power outage has affected Clapp, Langley, Crawford, Alumni Hall, Life Science, Music and SIS buildings.
The outage also affected Ruskin Hall, a residence hall, and it is currently running on emergency electrical power.
“If the condition continues long-term, Pitt will make housing arrangements for those students,” Fedele said.
