Pitt loses Graham, two others for season

Pitt has lost three players to season-ending injuries, including star running back Ray… Pitt has lost three players to season-ending injuries, including star running back Ray Graham, taking some of the shine off of Wednesday’s victory over Connecticut.

Graham, a junior, suffered a right knee injury that will require surgery, according to a release on Pitt’s website. Pitt also lost freshman offensive lineman Matt Rotheram to a fractured left ankle that will need surgery and junior receiver Cameron Saddler to a fractured sternum.

Graham finished the season with 958 rushing yards on 164 carries with eight touchdowns.

“We are incredibly disappointed for these three young men,” Head Coach Todd Graham said in the release. “They have put so much work into our program and it’s heartbreaking to see their seasons end prematurely.”
