Senior offensive tackle Jason Pinkston was named to the Outland Trophy watch list, and fellow senior Greg Romeus to the Bronko Nagurski list.

The Outland Trophy is awarded at the end of the season to the country’s best interior lineman, whereas the Bronko Nagurski award is given to the country’s premier defensive player.

Coming off a season during which he was named a second-team All-American, Pinkston will enter his third year as a starter and is one of 63 players on the watch list.

Romeus — the Big East co-defensive player of the year last season after compiling 43 tackles, 11.5 tackles for a loss and eight sacks — is one of 74 players up for his award right now.
