About 20 doctors examined all of the children in under an hour today, as part of a response plan saved for disaster situations.

The children were in good spirits and had no significant medical issues. Some had minor respiratory infections, which is common in all people in their age group.

A County spokesman said that housing has already been found for 46 of the 53 children. Pittsburgh is believed to be the first city in the country to receive orphans from the disaster in Haiti.
