Pitt will distribute the H1N1 vaccine in the William Pitt Union today.

Students with registration numbers 1 to 2,300 can receive their vaccines for free from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Students can still sign up for the vaccine by visiting my.pitt.edu and clicking “Student Registration for H1N1 vaccine.” More doses will be available at a later date.

The link will direct students to a form where they can fill out basic information, such as their first and last names, Pitt ID number, telephone number and e-mail address.

Students will receive an e-mail confirmation, which they should bring with them to their appointments, along with their student ID card.

People who are pregnant, have a chronic medical condition such as asthma or heart disease or are immunocompromised should not take the nasal spray form of the vaccine. They should wait for the injectable form of the vaccine instead, according to Pitt’s website.

Pitt has not yet received a batch of injectable vaccinations. However, the University advises students waiting for the injectable form to register anyway so that they will know when it arrives.
