Pitt senior Chris Sedon was drafted by the Detroit Tigers with the 300th overall pick in the… Pitt senior Chris Sedon was drafted by the Detroit Tigers with the 300th overall pick in the 10th round earlier today.

Sedon, a college transfer from Lackawanna College, batted .398 and set a new Pitt single-season record with 22 home runs in his first season with the Panthers this spring. He also led the team in steals (19).

Following the season, Sedon was named to the Louisville Slugger TPX All-America First Team and the All-Ping! Baseball Third Team.

Before the Draft began, Sedon said he was undecided on whether he would enter the major leagues.
