Although National Sexual Assault Week was the first week of April, Sexual Assault Services is… Although National Sexual Assault Week was the first week of April, Sexual Assault Services is still trying to raise awareness of the issues.

Sexual assault, dating violence, childhood abuse, harassment, stalking and domestic violence are the focus of an exhibit in the Kimbo Art Gallery of the William Pitt Union this week.

The exhibit is modeled after PostSecret, which is a nationwide art project founded by Frank Warren.

The project encourages people to write anonymous postcards, revealing secrets – about anything.

Sexual Assault Services took its own spin on the project.

They collected secrets about sexual assault throughout the semester by soliciting classes, clubs and tabling spots such as the William Pitt Union and Litchfield Towers, according to Chelsea Fineberg, a Sexual Assault Services intern.

About 250 cards were collected, and the secrets ranged from “If you fail to report what happened, he wins” to “My snatch does not want to be snatched.”

The gallery debuted at 8:30 p.m. last night and will run all week.
